Okay, this may have been answered before, but I'm really curious if anyone if the US has actually been sued AND if Getty won the case. Is there a threshold of the number of images that pushes them over the edge and decide to go legal?
It would seem to me that a single image violation simply isn't worth the effort especially if the image is removed on the first notice.
I get it is a numbers game for these guys...send out enough letters and you will make money and then the really high-profile ones you make an example out of to scare more people into paying.
Any real-world cases would be very enlightening.
