Family Fun Fact:

Muslim: from a personal name probably based on Arabic sawīya ‘equality’, a derivative of sawī ‘well-proportioned’, ‘shapely’, ‘harmonious’.

It's weird but every photo I've seen of the copyright trolls reveals a man or woman with crazed looking eyes and the sort of anticipatory smiles found on barracudas or piranhas or other carnivorous fish with sharp teeth and ravenous appetites.

Not so fun fact (at least for Lisa Wilmer) ;)

several of my initial Getty letters had been signed by my Getty penpal Douglas Bieker. Once I started my experiment against Getty and my complaint letters went out to all the different agencies naming not only Getty but Douglas Bieker amazingly the correspondence I received from Getty stop being signed by anyone and just said "The Compliance Team". Now that my experiment is over and I am ready for the fight I have a new and improved packet ready to go out should I receive any communication from Getty or anyone representing Getty such as Timmy. I liked the idea in my complaint letters of adding a face to the complaint besides the corporate entity that in my opinion is trying to extort money from me. So, should there be another communication from Getty itself that is unsigned the face that will be placed on my complaint will be senior director and corporate counsel Lisa Wilmer since she must be aware of and give the green light on any communication I receive regarding this matter. In addition to the new packet there would be complaints filed against her with the Bar Association. I did notice that when my complaint from the Washington state Better Business Bureau was forwarded to Getty it was sent directly to Lisa Wilmer for response.

I am also wondering if any of the more recent letter recipients can tell me if the compliance team specialists are still signing their names or have they started shying away from that send someone apparently is advocating naming them personally in your complaint letters ;).

My guess is there aren't any names anymore, as we continually throw them under the bus, which can't be good on their resumes, and most employers these days do search for potential hires. I actually like the idea of Naming Willmer in the complaints, yes she seems to be in charge of the "Copyright Compliance Team", but more importantly addressing her directly, will make her use her time to address it, she likely gets paid much more than the kool-aid drinking clerks, and is they sucking our time with this BS, we should suck as much of their time as possible.

I agree with Robert, that if they don't sign their letters, we should use names as far up the corporate tree as we can find.  Lisa Wilmer has a boss too.  In fact, since this is going on during their watch, the president and CEO of Getty Images must be aware of it.  They must be fair game as well.

If we destroy the images of the department heads or outside law firms that Getty uses, they can be replaced.  Will the men in charge want to risk their reputations over how their underlings are doing their jobs?

I bet a dime to a doughnut that Peeved's lovely eyes would look a lot better in that burka than Ms. Willmer's, which, frankly, are downright spine tingling scary in this garment.

Mulligan, are you saying that today's copyright trolls might very well have been terrorists in another life?  My god man, if that is true, we need to tell the world!  Perhaps we can get our leaders in Washington to task some military drones over Getty's Headquarters and take out the Jokers. ;)

Given the trolls' intelligent use of fear and how they use fear to manipulate humans into paying absurd amounts of money for alleged infringements of images that can be licensed all over the web for free or for less than the cost of a pair of cheap cotton shoe laces, I think it's entirely appropriate to categorize these reptile-brained creatures as "copyright terrorists."

Peeved, having been happily married to one for close to 45 years now, I admit to my preference for a woman whose eyes can become squinted and a bit more than slightly crazed on those extremely rare occasions when she feels I'm right and she's wrong! :)
