Another UK Getty 'Love Letter'

Hey guys
Sorry I havent been around - since writing my reply, I have largely blocked the issue out of my mind.

Anyway, I got a 2nd letter last week, to the tune of 'You were previously notified, pay immediately or it will result in escalation to legal department and we might take legal action and eat your babies' sort of thing.

So looks like they completely ignored my 1st letter. Do I just write back with same questions as above again and not making any offer for settlement?

Am also going to take it up with the my MP, definitely am not going to be harassed by these folks.

When I got the 1st letter, I was stressing a bit - now I'm kind of enjoying the adrenaline rush I'm getting from it!

Would like to get some kind of response out this week.

And SG thanks for the advice. I figured that the people I was doing free work for wouldn't become clients, but it was just as much about me building up some experience as well.

You can send them another letter if you want but it will not change anything, they only want the money.  I did send a second letter, again asking for the information proving they have rights to the image and a small 75.00 settlement offer. I also let them know that whether they took the offer or not I had nothing further to discuss with them until they provided me with proof of the claim.  I received a third letter since then threating to escalate to their legal department which I have not replied to nor will I.  I have just finished letters to the Attorney General’s office in Washington State and Ohio as well as the BBB which will be sent this week.  If Getty’s lawyer Timmy McCormack send me a letter without everything I have requested I will send letters about him to all of the above as well as the State Bar Associations in the three states he holds licenses.

Keep reading the forums and asking questions, pretty much everything you need is in here.  If you feel you need more help get a support call with Matthew.  I’m sure you have seen it but in case you have not or there is someone else new reading this here is the link.  Keep us posted as to what happens.

I've written my response again, it is going out.
I dont think ignoring it would be right.

Basically just enclosing copy of first letter, telling them tp reply to that, couple of references to the Jonathan Klein IP video on techCrunch and explaining no money made/providing free service etc.

And adding in that if I dont get all the info requested within 30 days, I assume matter is closed. Will see what happens with it.
